A lot will have to change with regards to School Team Building events following the COVID19 outbreak in the UK in 2020. EML Team Co Founder Jon Huggett outlines our ‘COVID19 SAFE’ option
“Thanks for watching this week’s vlog.
Our team have an enviable reputation of working in schools over the last 15 years, not only with the teaching faculty, but also with the student body.
We have spent an awful lot of time making sure that our team building activities are relevant to your students and their development.
As I said, over the last 15 years, we’ve really honed our team building activities down to make sure that they’re relevant to you.
If you choose to we’ll send you a proposal. And in that proposal, you’ll be able to choose some of the activities that you use for the day. Now when I say a day, I mean 0900 to 1515. And we obviously work around you and the timings for lunch and other breaks.
We’ll make quite a lot of room so when you’re choosing activities, just make sure that you have that available.
If you’re not sure, please just pick up the phone or send us an email, we’ll be able to help.
The team building activities that we use are used by industry, however, obviously, because your student body is slightly younger, we make sure the rules have changed and some of the activities are slightly changed to make sure they work for you.
So how do we work?
Prior to the start of the activity, we’ll hold a webinar. Now this will be pre-recorded, and your teaching staff will be able to log in and watch the activity session videos, as well as a briefing by myself or one of my colleagues to make sure that they’re entirely comfortable with the day.
Actually, on the day, our staff will arrive and set up the activities. When your teaching staff arrive. They receive briefing packs, which we talked about in their webinar, which are easy to understand, and a scoring system that is easy to work with and equally easy to understand by your staff and your students.
This is obviously a teacher led session, especially with COVID-19. Our staff will obviously have PPE. But we aim to have as little contact with the student body as possible so that it remains safe. To this end, at the start of the session, we’ll show a briefing video provide you all the equipment just to make sure that your students understand what’s required of them, and how the activity sessions going to work.
This will be your main briefing.
We can provide you with cameras and anything else you need so that you can photograph and record the day.
We don’t take any photos of the session. But this may be useful for you in the future. We want to make sure that the activity sessions that you have are measurable obviously, again, with COVID-19, a lot has changed.
Not only for you staff, but also for your students. We need to make sure that everybody’s comfortable. But equally, you can go away and use the results and use the learnings that have been actually taken away from today to be useful for you, and your students, faculty, and staff. The best way to work with us is to speak with us. So please pick up the phone, have a chat, see how we can help you will then send you a proposal so that you can work out how your day will run and how you want to work.
And it’s as simple as that.
We suspect nothing will really get going until September. But we do think we’re going to have a very busy September, October time. So if you think you might want to do a team building activity session, please just ask us. We can reserve the date. That’s fine. But you don’t need to obviously book anything. Quite now quite yet, until you’re absolutely sure that it’ll go ahead. But by speaking to us, we can help you and find a way forward.
Thanks for watching. Take care.”
